Project Overview

The Problem

I want to understand how effectively users who are new to technology can navigate through the workout app’s user interface, menus, and features?

What are the main challenges and difficulties encountered by users who are new to technology when attempting to perform basic tasks within the workout app?

How well do users who are new to technology understand the instructional content, exercise descriptions, and guidance provided within the workout app?

What features or functionalities of the workout app are most confusing or overwhelming for users who are new to technology, and how can these be simplified or improved?

How comfortable and confident do users who are new to technology feel when using the workout app, and what factors contribute to their level of comfort or discomfort?

The Goal

The Get Fitt app is dedicated to enhancing the fitness journey for users by incorporating additional features to complement their goals. In addition to the existing goals of accessibility, informative content, clear communication, and a variety of workouts, the app also provides meal plans, calendars, and trackers to assist users in organizing their nutrition and exercise routines effectively. Empathy

Based on the primary, and secondary research conducted for Get Fitt, a competitive audit was conducted to identify opportunities for product differentiation and improve the user experience for individuals who are not tech-savvy. The key competitors in the market, offer a range of high-quality products and services including custom-branded apps, business coaching, certifications, and client management. While they position themselves as convenient and effective platforms for remote coaching, there are gaps in terms of limited customization options, overwhelming content, and lack of guidance for first-time users.

This presents an opportunity for Get Fitt to stand out by providing informative and clear communication, personalized encouragement, and a wider variety of workout options such as yoga, bench pressing, and pilates. By addressing these areas, Get Fitt can establish itself as a user-friendly and inclusive fitness app, catering to the needs of individuals who are new to technology.

Clear instructions and tutorials are crucial, and step-by-step guides, video tutorials, and visuals are recommended to facilitate easy understanding and usage of the app’s features.Personalized support is another significant aspect identified, highlighting the need to offer individualized assistance through email or chat. Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) and troubleshooting tips should be readily available to address common issues. Moreover, the Get Fitt app should provide a diverse range of workouts and activities to cater to various fitness levels, interests, and goals. This includes options for beginners, low-impact exercises, and modifications for users with specific injuries or limitations.

Motivation and accountability play a vital role, and incorporating tools such as progress tracking, goal setting, and reminders can help users stay engaged and committed. Regular feedback, encouragement, and support from the app are instrumental in maintaining motivation and ensuring progress.Lastly, being responsive to user feedback is key to continuously improving the Get Fitt app. Gathering user input through surveys and feedback forms allows for the integration of valuable insights and implementing desired changes. By embracing these insights, Get Fitt can deliver an exceptional user experience, catering to the needs and preferences of individuals who are new to technology while supporting them on their fitness journey.

I made sure the home screen and navigation menu were visible for maneuvering to different sections. I was torn in between ended choosing option 5 & 6. But I ended up choosing option 5
